About Montserrat
We create experiences that bring people together.
Montserrat Events was founded on the belief that great events do far more than entertain. They bring communities together. They create opportunities for businesses. They introduce people to new experiences and, most importantly, they create memories that remain long after the stages have been dismantled, the marquees packed away and the crowds have gone home.
Every event we deliver starts with one simple question.
"How do we create an experience that people will remember?"
The event itself is only the setting. The memories people take home are what matter.
Over the past five years, that philosophy has shaped everything we've created, from community celebrations and live music festivals to orchestral concerts, aviation events and large-scale public gatherings. Whatever the size of the event, our purpose remains the same.
To bring people together through exceptional experiences.
Who We Are
An event management and production company based in Hampshire.
Montserrat Events is an event management and production company based in Hampshire, delivering community, commercial and cultural events across the South of England.
Our work combines creative thinking with detailed operational planning, bringing together local authorities, emergency services, venues, performers, suppliers, sponsors, volunteers and communities to deliver safe, professionally managed events.
Much of what we do happens behind the scenes. Months of planning, licensing, logistics, safety management and stakeholder engagement all come together so visitors can simply relax and enjoy the experience.
Good event management should never be noticed. It should simply work.
Today, our portfolio includes community festivals, live music events, orchestral concerts, markets, aviation events and one of the UK's newest aviation spectacles, the Hampshire Air Festival.
Our Story
How It All Began
It all began with an ambitious plan to commemorate the 75th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day in 2020 through an event called LEE VE75. Like many organisations, those plans were interrupted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Rather than abandoning the project, the team chose to return in 2021 with a new vision, rebranding the event as The Lee Victory Festival.
Around the same time, the organisers were invited to take over the long-established Lee Music Festival, incorporating it into a wider programme of live music events under the Summer Sounds banner.
With several independent events now taking place throughout the year, it became clear that a single organisation was needed to provide strategic direction, governance and long-term development. Montserrat Events was born.
From the beginning, our ambition has extended beyond delivering successful events. We want to help create places where communities are proud to live, businesses have opportunities to grow and visitors want to return.
Growth
How We Have Grown
Montserrat Events was established in March 2021, initially bringing together a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver its first community events. The organisation registered for VAT on 1 March 2021 as activities expanded.
As our programme developed and our commitment to community benefit became central to our work, the business structure evolved. In August 2022, Montserrat became a Community Interest Company (CIC), regulated by the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies, reinforcing our commitment to delivering public benefit alongside commercial excellence.
Growth has continued year after year. In 2024, Montserrat secured a five-year agreement with Stansted Park to deliver its prestigious Proms in the Park programme. In early 2025, we secured an initial two-year agreement with Thruxton Circuit to establish the Hampshire Air Festival, a major new aviation event launching in September 2026.
The same year also saw the development of EventWiz, our own event management platform, designed to simplify supplier bookings and improve event planning for organisers and traders alike.
Today, Montserrat continues to invest in technology, partnerships and people to support the long-term growth of the organisation.
Safety, Professionalism and Partnerships
Every event is different, but our approach remains consistent.
We work closely with local authorities, emergency services, aviation regulators, venues, performers, suppliers, sponsors, businesses and volunteers to deliver events that are professionally managed and safely operated.
Montserrat maintains £10 million Public Liability Insurance, providing reassurance to our clients, partners and stakeholders.
We believe the strongest events are built through long-term relationships, shared ambitions and attention to detail.

Looking Ahead
Our purpose remains unchanged.
Montserrat continues to grow, but our purpose remains unchanged. We are not simply in the business of organising events. We are in the business of creating opportunities for people to come together.
Every concert.
Every festival.
Every market.
Every air display.
Every community celebration.
Each one is another opportunity to create experiences that people will remember.
That has been our purpose from the beginning. It remains our purpose today.
Environmental, Social and Governance
Our ESG Commitment
As an organisation, Montserrat Events are exploring ways to help build a sustainable future by embracing initiatives that are better for the environment, for our community, visitors and volunteers.
We are at the beginning of our ESG journey as we look at ways to pursue sustainable ways of working and operating - promoting health, wellness, diversity and inclusion, offering social initiatives and corporate governance; meaning that we work with integrity and honesty, and are accountable and transparent across our business operations.
Ways We Are Already Implementing ESG
Going digital with paperless tickets
Promoting walking and cycling to our events
Working with providers to give bus shuttles or additional public transport
Working with local businesses for the provision of goods, services and entertainment
Reducing the use of single-use plastics where possible
We are endeavouring to do our best with ESG and we hope that you would like to join and assist us on our journey.
"The organisers did an absolutely outstanding job yet again. Fantastic achievement to all. You also do fantastic work within the Gosport community. Respect to you all."
